Terms of Service
Both commission & customs TOS are listed here. Commission TOS is listed below the first yellow line, and Custom TOS is listed below the second yellow line.
By commissioning art from me, you accept and agree with the following terms and conditions.
GENERAL
- I have the right to decline your commission if it’s beyond my abilities or if I’m uncomfortable with it.
- I will not accept rushed commissions unless discussed before payment, where a rush fee may be applied.
- Rude behavior is not tolerated, and your commission will be canceled if this occurs.
- Your canvas will be 300dpi and of a variable size depending on the commission. If you want a specific canvas size, let me know when placing your order.
- By default, I will save your commission as a transparent PNG. You may request different formats or if you would like a solid background color.
OWNERSHIP, & USE
- Commissions are for personal use only. (You can use your commission as a profile picture/banner on social media, you can print it out for personal display, and you may use the commission to promote yourself without selling the artwork itself.)
- You are allowed to repost the commissioned artwork on your own accounts, provided that the image is the watermarked version as well as credited to me.
- Altering, reprinting, and/or reselling of the commissioned artwork is not allowed.
- I do not allow my work to be used for AI purposes or NFTs.
- I have the right to use your commission in my portfolio and post it to my social media, but it will be clear that it was a commission.
- However, I will not post your commission if you explicitly tell me so, for any reason.
PAYMENT & REFUNDS
- Payment is due upfront. If there is a waitlist, you don’t pay until I’m ready to start your commission.
- I only accept payment through Paypal and cashapp.
- I do not accept payment through cryptocurrency.
- Refunds will only be issued before I start on your commission or if I am unable to complete it.
EDITS
- I will NOT edit a completed image if I am provided an outdated/inaccurate reference.
- I only allow 3 free revisions during the sketching/approval stage. Any additional revisions afterward will be +$5 per revision.
COMPLETION TIME / PROCESS
- Commissions will have a turnaround time of between 2 weeks to 3 months, with smaller pieces being completed generally faster than larger/complex ones. (I am not a full time artist, so I will be completing commissions at my own pace.)
- If there are any delays on my end, you will be notified as soon as possible.
- For sketch commissions, the approval stage will be a rough sketch WIP of the pose.
- For non-sketch commissions, the approval stage will be a sketch WIP of the commission with some colors roughly blocked in.
By buying a custom from me, you accept and agree with the following terms and conditions.
DESIGN TOS:
- Please don't remove my credit, whether it's the toyhouse credit or my own artist watermark. If you repost my art elsewhere, please credit me via mentioning Schellis or Dragon_Schellis, or a link to my main Carrd or my Site.
- Please let me know if you plan to delete a character I designed off ToyHouse. I'm not going to stop you, I just want to know so I can keep track of all my designs.
- You're free to change the design, but don't alter my artwork drastically (hue changes & small edits are fine). If it becomes super different, please use your own art or someone else's artwork that you get permission to use.
- Please do not use my artwork for commercial purposes. If you still want to, please reach out to me, as I might make an exception.
- I do not allow my artwork to be used for AI or NFTs.
- Most importantly & in general: Please be fair to anyone you're trading and/or selling with. That is, don't sell my design for a lot more than you got it for.

Customs are Custom Character Designs. You give me a moodboard, images, a general idea or concept, a simple text description, an aesthetic, etc. and I create a character design for you.
- By ordering a custom, you understand that the design you'll be getting will be under my discretion and artistic liberties.
- You will be sent one sketch to look over before the process continues in order to decide if you like the direction I'm going in, or if you want to try something else. Any rejected designs by the client will be kept by myself, the artist.Unless you ask me otherwise, the resulting custom will have medium-high level of detail.

Style Note:
- I have two styles (A and B shown in the examples). Please let me know which style you would like for your commission. The prices are the same for each style.
Additional Fees:
- There may be added fees based on complexity, amount of heavy detail, additional props/effects, etc.> Additional Characters:
- Added fee depending on the complexity of the added character. (Most likely between 60% - 100% extra of the base price)
> Backgrounds:
- I offer simple shape, gradient, solid color, or transparent backgrounds for free (Let me know which one you'd like.)
- I can also add symbols/designs, which based on complexity, may have an added fee.
REFERENCE:
Please give me a reference of some sort. you can give me descriptions, moodboards, or collections of images. Pose references are especially helpful if you have an idea of what you want, even if it's just stick figures.If there is a significant amount of detail / design that I have to use artistic liberties with, there will be an added fee that varies with the amount of extra work I have to put in.
